Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Olmsted County deputies were called to an apartment complex in Stewartville Sunday afternoon to check a report of a man with a knife who was chasing a woman.

Another caller reported the man was punching the woman in the head. The deputies located the woman, who had bruises on her face.

Capt. Scott Behrns says they also ”found a lot of blood” at the scene. But the deputies soon learned it came from the man, not the woman. Behrns says the man had a butter knife when he was chasing the woman but it’s not known how he suffered a cut to his hand. The injury was so severe that the man had to be taken to St. Marys Hospital for treatment.

Behrns says the man - 28-year-old Rogers Mochama - is facing arrest on felony assault charges.
