Stewartville Stabbing Results in Probation
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Rochester man has been sentenced to 5 years on probation for a stabbing that occurred last fall in the parking lot of a Stewartville business.
30-year-old Caleb Siler recently pleaded guilty to a 3rd-degree assault charge in a plea agreement that resulted in the dismissal of the 1st-degree aggravated robbery charge. He was accused of stabbing an employee of the Pure Pleasure store in the leg after the 52-year-old man pursued Siler into the business’ parking lot after he caught him trying to steal a sample bottle of cologne.
The store employee was taken to Saint Mary's Hospital where he was treated and released. Siler was later found at a Rochester motel and was also transported to the hospital to be treated for an apparent drug overdose.
