Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A rural Rochester homeowner contacted the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Friday after seeing a strange man on his property.

The man was spotted on the homeowner’s security surveillance system, holding a drill. Deputies could not locate the man - but found some tools valued at about $2,000. It was later learned the tools had been stolen from a construction trailer in Rochester the night before.

The property where they were found is located in the 3500 block of Hadley Valley Rd NE. Investigators are now working to identify the man who apparently left them there.
