Deputies responded to the 15000 block County Rd. 9 East, which is north of Dover, to look for the vehicle. The victim reported a person was sleeping inside of their vehicle in the area of the search, Parkin said.

The vehicle left before law enforcement arrived, but deputies found it shortly after their arrival.
Parkin said deputies pursued the vehicle and that the chase ended when the driver drove off the road and into a creek bed on a private property in the 7500 block of County Rd. 9.
The suspect then took off on foot and was captured shortly after running away from the crash scene, according to the sheriff’s office’s report.
Parkin identified the suspect as 47-year-old Jeremy Kirkham. He said Kirkham was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for possible injuries suffered during the pursuit before being cleared and taken to the Olmsted County Jail.
A search of Kirkham’s person led to the discovery of 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine, according to the sheriff’s office.
Parkin said Kirkham could face charges of Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, 2nd Degree-Controlled Substance Sales, 3rd Degree-Controlled Substance Possession, Driving after Cancellation Inimical to Public Safety, Fleeing Police Officer on Foot, Speeding, Failure to Obey Stop Sign.
Kirkham’s first court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
