Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A thunderstorm that moved through the city overnight left thousands of homes in the dark for several hours.

Rochester Public Utilities spokesman Tony Bensen says the storm took down a primary power line and cut electrical service to about 2400 RPU customers in northwest Rochester around 12:30 AM. The majority of those customers had their power restored by 4 AM and by 8 o’clock this morning all of the affected customers were back on-line.
