The legends of classic rock like Motley Crue, AC/DC, and Styx can be heard 24/7 on Sasquatch 107-7, but it's not every day that one of these bands comes to town. A lot of people were excited when Styx announced an outdoor show here in Rochester. That show, scheduled for Friday night, has now been canceled.

Blame mother nature for the cancelation, but don't throw away your tickets. The iconic classic rock band, known for chart-topping hits like "Blue Collar Man,”  “Lady," “Come Sail Away,” and “Renegade,” is going to reschedule their performance. Styx Concert in Rochester, Minnesota Canceled

The Mayo Civic Center posted an update to Facebook on Tuesday afternoon that said the show was being canceled "due to possible inclement weather forecasted for this Friday, May 6th."

Yes, but it won't be an outdoor concert and it won't happen this year. The Civic Center says they are working to secure a date for an indoor concert early in 2023.

Anyone with tickets can hold on to them - they will be honored at the rescheduled date. The Civic Center says, "For patrons requiring refunds, please contact your point of purchase:

  • Tickets purchased at the Box Office should email tickets@mayociviccenter.com to request your refund
  • Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster, log-in to your Ticketmaster account and there will be an option to request a refund.
