Support Kids Battling Cancer: Attend Minnesota Twins Game for Make-A-Wish
When the word "cancer" hits your family, your life changes forever. In 2025, Seer.cancer.gov states that about 2 million people in the United States will be diagnosed with a form of cancer. And when I was 17 years old, about a month away from graduating high school, I witnessed what that "c" word means, firsthand.
My sister was constantly getting sick and just not feeling the best. This lasted for weeks off and on. And on a night when my friends were at my house taking photos for one of our big dances, my sister was upstairs screaming in pain. It was one of those screams that never leaves your memory.
We knew something was wrong but didn't realize until a few hours later that the reason for the intensified screams was cancer. Sepsis was also part of the diagnosis and she was rushed to a larger hospital about two hours away in Des Moines, Iowa. Soon, the words "Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia" were part of our family's new vocabulary.
Cancer is an extremely traumatic time for anyone. It is heartbreaking to know that about 15,780 kids in the United States are diagnosed with cancer each year. As soon as that "c" word hits, your entire world is wrapped up in tests, chemo, side effects, pain, and the cost of it all (not to mention all of the nights spent sleeping at a hospital!). But one organization has become a glimmer of hope for kids like my sister - the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Today, you have a chance to help kids just like my sister have an opportunity to have their wish granted. All you have to do is show up for a Minnesota Twins baseball game!
Help Make-A-Wish For Kids With Critical Illnesses By Watching the Twins at Target Field!
One of my favorite things about Minnesota is going to a Twins game. Target Field is one of the best ballparks in the United States! Sit in the bleachers, possibly catch a foul ball or home run, high-five the fan next to you, and just enjoy a relaxing day at the ballpark. But on April 27th, there is one added perk that won't be going to you, but will be helping a child who is critically ill.
On April 27th at 1:10 PM, Target Field will host a special outing for Make-A-Wish, where fans can come together to enjoy a thrilling matchup between the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Angels. With every ticket purchased for the game, $5 will be donated to Make-A-Wish, helping to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. - Make-A-Wish Minnesota Facebook Page

Help Make-A-Wish Minnesota By Going to a Twins Game on April 27th
If I wasn't having my wisdom teeth out just days before the game, trust me, I would be in the seats (and possibly buy a few extra) because I know how much my sisters' wish meant to her.
Show up on April 27th for all of the kids who are fighting a battle that they didn't ask for and help give them the wish that they've been dreaming about. Grab your ticket for the Minnesota Twins game on April 27th at the website here.
