Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Minneapolis have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend.

A statement from the Minneapolis Police Department says officers responded to a shots fired call in the 3100 block of Dupont Ave. North around 11:50 p.m. Sunday. Officers found a male inside of a residence with what was described as a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officers, firefighters and EMS personnel administered life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. Police say officers apprehended a man for questioning and learned he and the victim were connected. 

The Minneapolis Homicide Division is leading the investigation into the deadly shooting. The victim’s body has been turned over to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office which will release the victim’s name and his official cause of death.
