
Suspect in Faribault Stabbing Apprehended in Missouri
Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man wanted in connection with a weekend stabbing in Faribault is now in custody.
The Faribault Police Department says 45-year-old Ricardo Ortiz was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon in Harrison County Missouri. A news release says the Faribault man was identified as the suspect in the stabbing that was reported just before midnight Saturday night.
The statement says Faribault police officers responded to the 600 block of Third Avenue Northwest in Faribault and encountered a 50-year-old man who had been stabbed. The victim was suffering from multiple wounds to his torso and arm.
Faribault police said the victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Faribault before he was transferred to North Memorial Hospital in the Twin Cities for surgery. He has since been discharged from the hospital.

The news release on the stabbing indicated Ortiz was wanted on multiple counts of felony assault and burglary.
