The Rochester Honkers baseball team will apparently be under new ownership for the next Northwoods League baseball season.

(Rochester, Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers (13-13) hit six home runs in a 10-8 win over the St. Cloud Rox Sunday afternoon at Mayo Field.

The Rochester Honkers (10-10) are enjoying their time at Mayo Field this year.  After a 5-4 win over the Willmar Stingers Monday night, the team upped its home record to 7-1.

The major league baseball draft is an exciting time for some high school and college players.  A time to find out if the scouts they’ve been talking to are right or just being friendly.

The 2017 Rochester Honkers baseball season is set to begin Tuesday night at Mayo Field in Rochester.

Rochester, Mn – The Rochester Honkers announced today that Byron, Minnesota native Ryan Thompson, a freshman pitcher at University of Illinois, will play for the Honkers this summer. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-hander was ranked the No. 52 freshman in the Big Ten during the preseason.

(Rochester, Minn.) –  Alex Fagalde (UC – Riverside) pitched 7.1 innings of shut out ball, but it wasn’t enough as the Honkers fell to the Mankato MoonDogs 4-0 at Mayo Field Monday afternoon in the first game of a double-header.

(Rochester, Minn.) – A strong start from Erik Cha (1-5) (Cal State Fullerton) helped give the Honkers a 2-1 victory over the Eau Claire Express at Mayo Field on Sunday afternoon.

(Rochester, Minn.) – Max Gamboa (Pepperdine) threw five scoreless innings and struck out a season-high four to get the Honkers Split Series in St. Cloud

(Rochester, Minn) – The Rochester Honkers fell the St. Cloud Rox 13-3 in St. Cloud in a game that featured just under two hours of weather delays.

(Rochester, Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers fell to the Kalamazoo Growlers 11-8 at Mayo Field Friday night. The Honkers scored eight runs in the bottom of the ninth, and got the tying run to the plate in the loss.

(Rochester, Minn) – The Rochester Honkers got three, two-run home runs from Ryan Fitzpatrick (Saddle Back College), Alex Fitchett (Hawaii) and Josh Davis (Pepperdine) to defeat the Kalamazoo Growlers 9-8 at Mayo Field Thursday night to win their fourth game in a row.
