
The 10 Most Popular Destinations Where Minnesotans Want To Travel
Thinking about finalizing those summer travel plans? We've got the inside scoop on where Minnesotans are dreaming of traveling this year. Get ready to pack your bags, because we're revealing the top 10 destinations that are calling to the Land of 10,000 Lakes this summer!
Packing those bags and getting out of Dodge for a vacation is something a lot of Minnesotans are planning on taking part in this year. According to a recent AAA survey, approximately 86 percent of Minnesotans say they plan to travel in 2025, a 2 percent increase from 2024.
An increase in interest in travel was also noted by the state of Minnesota. State reports said that lodging demand and air travel have both experienced year-over-year growth in early 2025, which suggests that Minnesotans are actively planning and embarking on trips.

But to which destinations do Minnesotans most want to visit this summer? Delta Air Lines set out to answer that question. Delta just released its third annual list of most-searched international summer destinations based on search data gathered from its website and app.
Chances are, if you're flying out of Minnesota, you'll likely be onboard a Delta Air Lines flight. Delta is based in Atlanta, Georgia, but its second-largest hub is here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).
While 18 different airlines offer service at MSP, Delta by far offers the most. Delta says it runs nearly 330 departures from MSP to 119 destinations across the globe, offering nonstop service to international destinations like Amsterdam, Paris, London, Seoul, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico City, Tokyo-Haneda and more.
