While I don't think it's possible to have a BAD donut, the BEST donuts in Minnesota can be found a little under two hours away from Rochester.

As I said, I don't know that I've ever had a bad donut, but when it comes to the best donuts, a prestigious national food magazine has determined that here in Minnesota, you'll find them about an hour and 53 minutes away from Rochester.

That's because, in Food and Wine Magazine's most recent list of The Best Donuts in America, the Lindström Bakery in Lindström, Minnesota serves the best baked goods in the Bold North. The bakery itself has been around for over 100 years, and according to their website, "crafts locally baked goods for the surrounding communities using our award-winning recipes."

According to the Food and Wine survey, the Scandanavian donuts are what put Lindström Bakery on its Best Donuts in America list:

On a typical morning, many of the patrons are here for the unique Scandinavian cake donuts: crispy-crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, made with an egg-enriched dough, and topped in a small, sensible selection of fillings.

Now, it should be noted that the Lindström Bakery was sold last year, and only recently re-opened with new owners, Eric and Jenny, just a few weeks ago. However, the new owners say they've kept the same authentic recipes, and even worked with previous owner Bernie Coulombe, who ran the bakery for 48 years before she retired last year.

Of course, while Lindström Bakery is just the latest Minnesota business to get some national attention, it's not the only one. Keep scrolling to check out all the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on the Food Network!

All 37 Minnesota Restaurants that Have Been Featured on the Food Network

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
