Rochester, are you ready to brunch like never before?

One of Rochester’s most recognizable restaurant locations is finally getting a second act. After sitting vacant since late 2023, the former Denny’s at 1226 Broadway Ave S is undergoing a major transformation. The site, which has served the community for years, will soon reopen its doors as a vibrant café specializing in brunch.

A Fresh Addition to the Rochester, MN Restaurant Scene

Restaurants like Denny’s are famous for their round-the-clock service and traditional "greasy spoon" fare, but Berries & Bubbles Café will lean into the growing national trend of elevated, daylight-only dining.

"Daylight-only" establishments typically focus exclusively on breakfast, brunch, and lunch service, according to The Takeout.

Redefining the Best Brunch in Rochester

The café promises to swap late-night staples like the "Moons Over My Hammy" for a fresh, sophisticated experience designed to be a "celebration for the senses." According to the Berries & Bubbles website, guests can look forward to a menu that features:

  • Artisanal Bites: A refined and creative take on classic brunch staples.
  • Signature Berry Creations: Refreshing dishes centered around seasonal, vibrant fruit flavors.
  • "Bubbles" for Breakfast: A curated selection of sparkling beverages and signature mimosas to brighten the morning.
