Minnesota is home to some seriously impressive tourist spots. We’ve obviously got the Mall of America, more lakes than we know what to do with, and cool art like a giant spoon with a cherry on top.

But let’s be honest, we’ve also got our fair share of wonderfully weird and quirky attractions. Looking at you, largest ball of twine.

But what’s the most unique of them all? According to a recent list from Love Exploring, it’s not the twine ball, not Paul Bunyan, and not even the world's largest turkey statue.

This Was Just Named Minnesota’s Most Unique Attraction:

That title goes to the SPAM Museum in Austin.

SPAM first showed up thanks to Hormel back in 1937, and it really took off during World War II when it was sent overseas to feed the troops. Even now, people still love it, especially in places like Hawaii and the Marshall Islands, where it’s basically a staple.

And here in Minnesota, it’s got an entire museum dedicated to its legacy.

The SPAM Museum takes visitors through the odd and fascinating history of SPAM with interactive exhibits, a conveyor belt of SPAM cans looping overhead, and best of all, “SPAMbassadors” ready to answer all your questions, share fun facts, and make the whole thing more entertaining than you’d expect.
