Crookston, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is reporting that 2 people were killed in a traffic crash involving 2 semi trucks in northern Minnesota this morning.

The deadly collision occurred around 5 AM at a rural intersection along a highway south of Crookston. One of the deceased truck drivers was a 65-year-old man from Crookston. The State Patrol has not released any information about the second victim.

The State Patrol also responded to a fatal crash several hours earlier about 15 miles to the south near Beltrami. The latest reports indicate a 41-year-old man from Ponemah was killed when a Jeep and a passenger car collided shortly before 2:30 in the morning. The name of the victim has not been released.
