Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News)- Local authorities are investigating another Rochester-area restaurant burglary

It’s the second restaurant burglary reported in as many days to law enforcement. Both burglaries were reported to authorities on Wednesday morning.

Officers responding to an alarm found the front door opened and tampered with and a damaged ATM in the entry way around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say no money was missing and no arrests have been announced as of Thursday morning.

About eight hours after Rochester police responded to the Whistle Binkies burglary, The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported burglary at Tilly’s in Oronoco

Captain Tim Parkin says responding deputies discovered a smashed glass patio door. The suspect then entered the bar area, broke open the pull tab machine and stole several hundred dollars, the sheriff’s office report says. 

The investigation into the restaurant smash-and-grab burglary and theft, which is believed to have happened between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, is ongoing. 

Parkin says no evidence has been uncovered that indicates the Tilly’s and Whistle Binkies burglaries are connected so far. No other information is available.
