MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Five years after he was acquired, the Minnesota Timberwolves have finally added Nemanja Bjelica to their roster.

Bjelica was introduced at a news conference Wednesday. At one point, Bjelica said he needs to "learn many things here." President and coach Flip Saunders turned to the 6-foot-10 Bjelica at the podium and responded while patting him on the back, "We'll teach you."

The Wolves obtained Bjelica through a draft-day deal with the Washington Wizards in 2010. The native of Serbia has played the five seasons since then in Europe, until the Wolves signed him last week. They had opportunities to trade him, but Saunders said the team didn't want to give up on his potential.
