Two Injury Crashes Keep State Patrol Busy in Southeast Minnesota

Lake City, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded to two separate injury crashes in southeastern Minnesota on Friday.

Lake City man injured in Highway 61 rollover

A Lake City man was injured in a rollover crash on Highway 61 approximately three miles north of Lake City. The crash was reported around 2:50 p.m.

The State Patrol says 80-year-old Alfred Holton was driving south in a small SUV when he lost control and the vehicle rolled into the southbound ditch.

Motorcyclist crashes near Albert Lea

The other injury crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. on Interstate 90 near the Highway 13 interchange just north of Albert Lea. The State Patrol says 72-year-old Stephen Henry of Indianapolis was traveling east on a motorcycle when he struck an object and lost control on the freeway.

Helmet and seat belt credited in separate crashes

The State Patrol reported that both injured motorists were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. The crash reports indicate the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and the Lake City man was wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol was not involved in either incident.
