Netflix has been keeping secrets from us, for who knows how long. The online movie and TV streaming platform has millions of users, along with hundreds upon hundreds of titles for us to consume, the only problem is we only seem to see a fraction of them at any given time. Thanks, algorithms. But now, you can jailbreak your Netflix with this secret menu hack!

How many times do you open up your Netflix app and look for something to watch, only to not find anything you really 'wanted' to watch? This happens to me once a week, I open up Netflix on our TV, scroll a little, and then close it as there isn't something compelling.

Well, I recently learned that there is a secret menu hack on Netflix that allows you to browse the entire catalog of movies and shows on Netflix! Rather than the algorithm-selected shows and movies that you seem to only get.

CNET.com spilled the beans on the secret menu, and it involves something called Netflix Codes.

Typically, you're constrained to the genres available to you via the main Netflix menu. There's no way to choose by specific category other than what's been chosen for you when you log on. Using these codes opens up an entire library of options for you to choose from that can help you better settle on what to watch for the night. - CNET.com

Now, I should state this works on your computer, vs the app on your phone or TV because you put the codes at the end of the Netflix URL, in order to access these menus.

For example, if you're short on time and want to queue up a shorter movie, you could check the 90-Minute Movies category with the code 81466194.

There are reportedly more than 36,000 codes so there are some options for what you want to watch, and you can learn more about the codes, and what they open up by heading to pages like Netflix-Codes.com.

I know I am planning on trying this hack this afternoon after work, and hopefully, I'll finally be able to find something to 'watch'.
