Truck Fire Near Rochester Affects Traffic For Four Hours
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A fire involving a semi-truck that was southbound on Highway 52 south of Rochester Wednesday morning led to the closure of sections of the roadway.
The truck went into the median between County Rd 1 and the Marion Rd overpass around 6:00 am and burst into flames.
Although the fire was put out within half an hour or so, public safety officials had to close the southbound lanes for more than an hour. They reopened around 8:30 but then the northbound lanes were shut down until the scene was taken care of. The northbound lanes re-opened before 11:00 am.
It’s not known if there were any injuries involved in the wreck and/or fire.
