Twin Cities Delta Flight Makes Precautionary Diversion

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis to New York City landed safely in Milwaukee yesterday after it was diverted.

Delta spokeswoman Kate Modolo says the crew chose to divert the flight out of an abundance of caution after the pilots detected a smoky odor on board.

She says the 148 passengers were placed on another flight.
