Minneapolis, MN (Learfield News Service) - Minnesota has received so much snow this winter that the courts are getting involved to stop the never-ending snowfall.

District Judge Kevin Burke granted a "temporary restraining order" Thursday against Old Man Winter on behalf of the people of Minnesota.

Judge Burke wrote, "Mr. Snow can dump all the snow it wants on the neighboring states of Wisconsin (particularly the City of Green Bay), Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota," but no more snowfall will be allowed in Minnesota.

He even named Minnesota meteorologists as "defendants" for conspiring to increase television and radio ratings. The joke comes as the state braces for up to a foot of snow this weekend.
