Minneapolis (Learfield News Service) - The Minnesota Twins revised 2020 regular season schedule was released Monday with no major surprises.

The Twins will play each of the American League Central teams ten times, with rival Cleveland visiting Minneapolis for seven of the ten matchups.

Meanwhile, Minnesota will play the White Sox in Chicago for seven of their ten meetings. Minnesota hosts Detroit six of the ten games, but visits Kansas City in six of those ten contests.

Minnesota will play Milwaukee six times in Interleague play, St. Louis and Pittsburgh four times each, and the Cubs and Reds three times apiece.

The Twins will have an exhibition game against the Cubs in Chicago on July 22nd for their first action against someone other than themselves. That will lead into the opening series in the Windy City against the White Sox on July 24th.

Minnesota will open at home against the St. Louis Cardinals on July 28th. The full schedule is posted on the team's webpage.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says there are some quirks in the schedule that aren't great, but he says all teams have those quirks, so he is not going to complain about it. He says the schedule is something they can navigate and they look forward to the season starting.

A preseason summer camp began on Friday and will continue until the start of the season.
