MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan isn't ruling anyone in or out as the team searches for its next manager. But he's making it clear the Twins are seeking a fresh perspective in the dugout after four straight seasons of at least 92 losses.

Ryan is promising to "change the voice and change the presence."

Paul Molitor is seen as a favorite to succeed Ron Gardenhire since he was added to the coaching staff for the 2014 season. The St. Paul native is a Hall of Famer who spent 10 years as a minor league instructor.

The other internal candidates could be bench coach Terry Steinbach and minor league skippers Doug Mientkiewicz and Gene Glynn. Outside candidates could include New York Yankees bench coach Tony Pena, who interviewed with Ryan in 2001 and was hired the following year in Kansas City.
