Two 10-Year-Old Girls Killed in Minnesota ATV Accident

Afton, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two young girls were killed in an ATV crash in eastern Minnesota’s Washington County Saturday evening.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the report of two juveniles trapped under an ATV around 5 p.m. The accident occurred at a rural address in northwest Afton, just south of I-94. 

First responders found the two girls, described as 10-year-olds, pinned by the vehicle. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the girls were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Authorities say the families of the accident victims have been notified. The names of the young girls have not been released. The cause of the deadly accident remains under investigation.
