Polk County, MN (KROC AM News) -There were two more fatal wrecks on Minnesota roadways, bringing the total number of deaths to 15 in the past eight days. One was on Highway 71 in the Guthrie Township, about 15 miles south of Bemidji. The other was on River Road in East Grand Forks.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports a Subaru was northbound on Highway 71 when it lost control, crossed over the center line and was struck broadside by a Chevy Impala traveling south on the same highway.

Killed was 26-year-old Eric Follensbee of Oakdale. The driver of the Subaru, 23-year-old Michelle Farlee, and the driver of the Impala, 67-year-old Roger Proulx were transported to Sanford Hospital in Bemidji with non-life threatening injuries.

The State Patrol is reporting a single-car wreck killed a 30-year-old Gran Fork man. The man was driving a Honda Accord south on River Road in East Grand Forks in Polk County when it drove onto the center median and struck the center support of the Kennedy Bridge. Road conditions were described as covered with snow and ice.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released yet.
