Two Teens Killed in Western Wisconsin Crash
St. Croix Falls, WI (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in western Wisconsin have released the names of two teenage crash victims.
The Spooner Advocate reports the Polk County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 16-year-old McKinley Erickson and 15-year-old Kegan Koshiol. The newspaper indicated both juveniles were from a rural area just south of St Croix Falls.
The deadly crash occurred last Friday morning while Erickson was driving an SUV on an icy covered rural road just of St. Croix Falls. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office told the newspaper the vehicle went into a ditch, rolled multiple times, and crashed into some trees.
Koshiol was pronounced dead at the scene, while Erickson was transported by helicopter to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and later died from injuries suffered in the crash. St. Croix Falls is located about 100 miles north of Rochester.
