Two Straight Months of Rising Jobless rates in SE Minnesota
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Unemployment rates across southeastern Minnesota moved higher for a second straight month in February.
The latest jobs data from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development shows the jobless rate in the Rochester area rose 3-tenths of a percentage point last month. The rate reported for Olmsted County, 2.6%, matched the unemployment rate from February of last year.

It also remained the lowest jobless rate in the region. Dodge County reported the highest unemployment rate in southeastern Minnesota at 4.2%. Dodge County also experienced the largest rate increase. Its jobless rate rose a half percentage point from January through February.
