United Way is Thinking Back to School?
It may be the end of another school year, but the United Way of Olmsted County is already thinking about the fall.
Their "Running Start for School" is an opportunity for area residents to donate school supplies for kids in need. Jerome Ferson is the executive director for the United Way of Olmsted County and talked about the program with Rich Peterson on Rochester's Good Morning Tuesday..
There's another event coming up soon as well. The United Way and the Women's Leadership Council's Power of the Purse event on June 13th. It's sold out with the program's featured speaker, Elizabeth Smart telling her story and how she's getting along after her abduction 15 years ago almost to the day.
If you have a ticket, don't forget to go. Should be a great program at the International Event Center in Rochester.
