Unpaid Bar Bill Leads to Recovery of Vehicle Stolen in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- An unpaid bar tab led to the recovery of a vehicle stolen out of Rochester.
The arrest warrant issued for 41-year-old Daniel Reamer accuses him of stealing a vehicle from a shopping complex in northwest Rochester on May 6. Prosecutors say Reamer then drove the vehicle to Pierce County in western Wisconsin.
The vehicle was recovered after Pierce County authorities were called to a bar Reamer was at because he couldn’t pay his tab. The warrant says Reamer was in possession of the vehicle and later admitted to stealing it during his arrest in Pierce County.
Court records indicate Reamer has three active arrest warrants, one for disorderly conduct in Ramsey County, another for disorderly conduct in Hennepin County and a third for felony theft in Goodhue County.
Reamer is currently being held in the Pierce County Jail. Locally, he is charged with felony motor vehicle theft and a misdemeanor for tampering with a motor vehicle.
