Search Continues For Rochester Robbery Suspect
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - As of noon Wednesday Rochester police were still looking for a robbery suspect.
Officers were called to the southern end of Marion Rd SE around 9:30 a.m. after getting a call about a man armed with a hammer who stole a vehicle. The caller said a white male wearing a black hoodie tried to break into a neighbor's home and then stole the caller's truck.
RPD set up a perimeter in the area between 30th St and 50th Ave SE as they began to look for the suspect. The K9 Unit and Drone Team assisted in the search that ended in that area around 11:00 a.m.
The stolen vehicle was located in the 3400 block of Marion Road SE.
RPD spokeswoman Amanda Grayson advises residents in that area to “continue to be vigilant and call 911 if you observe suspicious activity. If you see something, say.”
