
Utility Worker Finds Body of Suspected Fatal Crash Victim Near Rochester

Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a utility worker discovered a man who was likely killed in a motorcycle crash.

Lt. Malinda Hanson says deputies responded to the report of a deceased person shortly after 9:15 Monday morning.

Utility Worker Finds Man Dead at Scene of Apparent Motorcycle Crash Northwest of Rochester
The worker found the body at the intersection of Olmsted County Rd. 3 and 100th St. Northwest, which is about 13 miles northwest of downtown Rochester.
Along with the body, the worker also found a motorcycle and debris that appeared to be from a vehicle crash.
Hanson says the worker discovered the man’s body in the ditch outside of the view of regular traffic next to the motorcycle. The man was described by the sheriff’s office as “obviously deceased.”

Hanson says the case is being investigated as a motor vehicle crash. The man’s identity is being withheld pending an identification by the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and notification of next of kin.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is also extending its condolences to the family and friends of the apparent motorcycle operator.
