Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester man created a stir early Friday when he reportedly pointed a gun at a person.

A 19-year-old says he answered a knock at his door around 1:00 AM and saw a man outside his residence in the 300 block of 55th St NE. The caller said the man suddenly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him. The teenager slammed the door shut and called 911.

A deputy arrived to find the man still there. The man pulled the gun from his waistband and the deputy was able to grab it. After he arrested the man, the deputy discovered the gun was a .45 caliber airsoft model. The man he arrested was identified as 34-year-old Nicholas Gerken of Rochester.

Gerken was extremely intoxicated and a test found his blood/alcohol level was .32. It’s not known what relationship he had with the teenager.
