Victim of SUV-Pedestrian Crash on Minnesota Highway Identified
Blaine, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities have released the name of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Twin Cities on Saturday.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Randy Bjurstrom was struck by an SUV as he was attempting to cross a busy four lane roadway in Blaine. The deadly incident was reported around 5:50 AM on Saturday.
A news release says the SUV was traveling south on University Avenue when it struck the man, who had no permanent address. The driver of the SUV was identified as 32-year-old Mohamed Boya Lango of Anoka. The State Patrol indicated alcohol was not involved concerning the driver of the SUV.
The fatal collision remains under investigation by the Blaine Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.
