Lace up your shoes, grab your bat and glove and get yourself up to Target Field because here's your chance to take batting practice with the Minnesota Twins!

If you've ever dreamed of putting on that familiar red, white and blue Twins uniform and standing into the batter's box at to take a few swings at Target Field, here's your opportunity to take batting practice with the Twins-- and it's all for a good cause, too.

According to a news release, the Minnesota Twins are introducing Swing For The Kids Fantasy Batting Practice for the first time this year. And, yes, you'll be able to head down to home plate at Target Field and take part in a 90-minute batting practice session.

Each 90-minute session will also include appearances by Twins legends including Hall of Famer Rod Carew, Bert Blyleven, Tom Kelly, and or other Twins alumni.

That's right, you can swing for the fences with Twins legends! Plus, you'll also get a commemorative Twins jersey, and you'll be able to bring another person with you to watch your major league debut from the stands (though they won't be able to join you on the field.)

Swing For The Kids Fantasy Batting Practice is set for Saturday, June 5th from 3 to 7 pm at Target Field. (The Twins will be in Kansas City taking on the Royals at 3:10 that afternoon, and they'll also be showing the game on the scoreboard at Target Field.)

Tickets start at $500 ($400 tax-deductible donation) and all proceeds will benefit kids and families throughout Twins Territory. You can get more information about the event HERE.

And, who knows, if you really knock a few out of Target Field, maybe the Twins will sign you up-- they could use the help so far this season. In fact, their luck so far this year is similar to their record in the playoffs. Do you remember the last time the Twins actually won a playoff game? It's been a while!
