Wanted Rochester Man Gets Away During Police Chase
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The law almost caught up with a Rochester man wanted for a recent kidnapping/ assault case.
An Olmsted County deputy spotted 32-year-old Brent Espenson in a car near Country Club Rd SW, about a mile west of West Circle Dr around 4 p.m. Sunday.
When the deputy activated his lights, Espenson took off, headed east on Country Club Rd at speeds of 90-100 mph. The deputy broke off the chase and Espenson turned into Country Club Manor. He eventually parked his car in the area of 3rd St and 3rd Place and fled on foot.
Espenson is accused of driving an Eyota-area man to a friend’s residence last Monday. The victim says he was tied up and then assaulted by Espenson and the other man over a period of several hours before he was driven to West River Road and let go.
