WATCH: ‘America’s Best Restaurants’ featuring Rochester’s Own Whistle Binkies

Over the summer an online video series called 'America's Best Restaurants' came to Rochester, Minnesota. They had decided to feature a Rochester favorite: Whistle Binkies on the Lake! And the video is finally here.

If I remember correctly they filmed in the afternoon on a weekday. The restaurant was closed off to everyone except a few customers and staff. Whistle Binkies made sure that their regulars were there during filming.

In the video from 'America's Best Restaurants' they take in everything Whistle Binkies has to offer. So... what did they have to say?

During the episode, host Jaqueline takes a look at just about everything Whistle Binkies on the Lake has to offer.

She spoke with Kelly, who has worked at Whistle Binkies for 11 years. While they chatted Jaqueline got to try their My Honey Flatbread, which I now want to try really badly. It looks so good!

She also spoke with a couple of Whistle Binkies regulars about their favorite eats and why they love coming back. And then Jaqueline headed back to the kitchen.

In the kitchen, she chatted with Chef James who prepared for her their Binkies Stir Fry.

Then it was time to meet the owners, Kelly and Eric, who bought Whistle Binkies on the Lake just a couple of years ago. However, both of them have been in the restaurant industry for a while. Kelly said that she's been in the restaurant biz since 15 and Eric has worked at Whistle Binkies on the Lake since 2006.

While talking to Kelly and Eric, Jaqueline tried their Guinness Ruben and Thai Rib Bites.

It was so fun seeing a local spot featured on a nationwide online series. Now I have to go, that My Honey Flatbread is calling my name!
