Water Main Break Closes Busy Rochester Road
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Traffic is being detoured off a busy north-south route in southeast Rochester.
The Rochester Public Works Department says crews from Rochester Public Utilities are performing emergency water main repair work in the 1300 block of 3rd Avenue Southeast. The repairs require the closure of the roadway in the vicinity of the former Seneca Foods plant.
City officials say traffic is being detoured one block east on 13th and 14th Streets and then north and south on 4th Avenue Southeast. The detour will remain in place until the break in the pipe is repaired and the roadway is patched.
