Wiggins Scores 41 Points – Wolves Needed Eight More
Washington, DC (Learfield News Service) -The Minnesota Timberwolves battled back, wiped out a 14-point deficit and claimed an 85-80 lead after three periods - before it all fell apart.
The Washington Wizards scored nine straight points on the way to a 112-105 victory Friday night.
Andrew Wiggins led all scorers for the Wolves with 41 points and Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in 18.
Minnesota had trailed 66-52 when it went on a 33-14 run. Unfortunately, the Wolves couldn't maintain the lead. The Wolves host Utah Saturday night.
