Wild Losing its Scoring Punch
ST PAUL, MN -- The Minnesota Wild were shutdown by St. Louis goaltender Jake Allen last night and almost shut out. Allen made 32 saves and was 10.5 seconds
away from his second shutout in as many games, leading St. Louis to the 2-1 win.
The Blues got goals from David Perron and Vladimir Tarasenko. The Wild got 18 saves from goalie Devan Dubnyk while Mikko Koivu scored his 18th on a lucky bounce from the blueline in the dying seconds.
Allen's scoreless streak had reached 159 minutes, 8.5 seconds as St. Louis won back-to-back games after losing five in a row.
Minnesota has lost two of its past three games. Minnesota heads to Florida tomorrow for a back to back with Tampa Bay and Florida Panthers Friday
