Barnesville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A motorist traveling on I-94 northwestern Minnesota likely got a pretty good scare from what could have been an incident that resulted in serious injuries earlier today.

The Barnesville Police Department, the Clay County Sheriff's Department, and the State Patrol responded to a call just before noon about a crash involving a vehicle and a turkey. According to the Barnesville PD Facebook page, the motorist was driving on the freeway when a large wild turkey came crashing through the windshield of her SUV.

While the turkey ended up deceased in the backseat of the vehicle, the driver escaped the ordeal with only some minor cuts from flying glass.
