A new Minneapolis School District policy concerning the suspension and expulsion of minority students was the hot topic Friday on the Rochester Today show with Tom Ostrom and Andy Brownell.

While most everyone is supportive of efforts to fix the so-called achievement gap plaguing public schools across Minnesota, there are many critics of the Minneapolis school system's plan for keeping certain on unruly students in classrooms in hopes of furthering their education.
