
Authorities Arrest Felon For Rural Minnesota Shooting, Police Pursuit
Willmar, MN (KROC-AM News)- An individual with a history of committing felony crimes has been arrested in connection to a shooting and police pursuit in central Minnesota.

Limited information has been released, however the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office says the incident began with a shooting that was reported to law enforcement shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.
Officials say the suspect fired shots from a vehicle at a person who was pulling out of their driveway in a second vehicle at a rural residence east of Willmar.

Authorities found the suspect vehicle in the City of Willmar. The news release says the driver evaded law enforcement before driving off the road in southwestern Willmar.
Law enforcement set a perimeter and captured the suspect in a nearby shed without further incident.
Officials say the suspect, who’s name has not been released, has what is described as an “extensive criminal history” that includes two convictions for felon possessing a firearm.
Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Assault, Drive by Shooting, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm are the charges being considered in the case, authorities say.
There were two other individuals with the arrested suspect during the incident who escaped the scene and have not been located at the time of the publishing of the news release on Thursday.
Authorities are asking for anyone with knowledge of the shooting to come forward, however descriptive details of the two other people have not been disclosed. No other information has been released.
No injuries were reported.
