Wolves Hang Close to Final Playoff Spot
The Minnesota Timberwolves are hanging around. After last night, they stand 2.5 games out of the 8th and final playoff spot.
Karl Anthony-Towns led the way again with 29 points and 14 rebounds as the Wolves upset the Los Angeles Clippers 107-91 at Target Center. Shabazz Muhammad added 17 points starting in place Brandon Rush who did not play because of illness.
The Wolves record is now 26-37, the Clippers fell to 38-26 on the season. They still have to jump over Dallas (27-36), Portland (27-35), and Denver to gain the playoffs. The Mavericks are a game up and Portland is 1.5
Golden State is up next, Friday night at the Target Center, with a 7 p.m. tip-off time.
