
Woman Killed, Baby Hurt in Southern Minnesota Crash (Update)
St. James, MN (KROC-AM News)- There was a fatal crash reported in southern Minnesota Wednesday night.

The State Patrol says the deadly crash involved a single vehicle on a four-lane stretch of Hwy. 60 west of St. James. An SUV was traveling in the westbound lanes when the driver lost control causing the vehicle to crash into the median shortly after 10:10 p.m.
The vehicle was driven by 20-year-old Naomi Rene Carpenter from Inver Grove Heights. She had a male infant less than a year old in the vehicle with her.
An updated version of the state crash report says Carpenter died at the scene of the fatal crash. The infant was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Carpenter was buckled up. It's unknown if alcohol was a factor in causing the deadly crash.
