Woman Killed in Central Minnesota Wreck
Clear Lake, MN (KROC AM News) - Alcohol may have played a role in a fatal traffic wreck in east-central Minnesota Friday.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports a car driven by a woman from Avon was going the wrong way on Highway 10 when it collided with an oncoming pickup truck.
The woman died at the scene of the wreck, which happened around 11:30 PM in Sherburne County near Clear Lake. The woman was identified as 31-year-old Brittany Ranck of Avon.
The other driver was identified as 27-year-old Dustin Gilyard of St Cloud. He was taken to St Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The State Patrol reports alcohol was involved with both drivers.
