Woman Killed in Rochester Wreck

UPDATE: Rochester police have identified the woman killed in the crash.

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A woman was killed in a traffic wreck in NW Rochester Thursday.

A Rochester Police Dept. spokesman says a car turned in front of a pickup truck at the intersection of 65th St and Bandel Rd around 5:00 PM.

The spokesman says the pickup hit the car on the passenger side where the 82-year-old Rochester woman was sitting. The spokesman says she died at the scene. Her 87-year-old husband was driving the car. He apparently suffered non-life threatening injuries. The 63-year-old Rochester man driving the truck was not hurt.

Names will be released Friday morning.
