World Juniors Tournament Opens Today

( Undated - Minnesota News Network ) -   Yesterday Team USA finalized their roster for the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team by releasing defenseman Steven Santini.

A current member of the Boston College men's ice hockey team and also a member of the 2014 US. National Junior Team, Santini has not played since Oct. 25 due to a wrist injury.

The final U.S. roster includes three goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards. Of the final members of the team two are current Gophers (forward Hudson Fasching and defenseman Ryan Collins) and one is a Wild prospect (forward Alex Tuch, drafted by Minnesota 18th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft).

Team USA is coached by Minnesota native Mark Osiecki.
