
Mayo Clinic Named World’s Best Hospital Once Again
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Mayo Clinic has once again been named the top hospital in the world.

The Rochester-based healthcare provider topped Newsweek’s 2026 World’s Best Hospitals list for the eight straight year.

Mayo Clinic Tops Newsweek's List of Best Hospitals in the World for 8th Straight Year
A news release issued by Mayo Clinic says Newsweek bases its rankings on results of patient surveys, an international survey of more than 85,000 healthcare professionals and performance metrics, such as patient safety and quality of care, and implementation of patient-reported outcomes.
"Over the past year, we accelerated that transformation by responsibly integrating data, technology and AI into patient care." Farrugia said.

Newsweek says they evaluated more than 2500 hospitals across the world this year and gave special recognition to 250 medical institutions.
Toronto General-University Health Network in Toronto, Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland), Stockholm, Sweden-based Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston rounded out the top five.
Mayo Clinic was the only hospital to crack the list.
