Young Minnesota Drowning Victim ID’d
LAKE ELMO, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 6-year-old St. Paul girl who died after being pulled from the water at a swimming pond in eastern Minnesota.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the victim as Ghia Vue.
The girl was taken Sunday from the Lake Elmo Park Reserve swim pond to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where she later died.
The Ramsey County medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy. Results will be available in six to eight weeks.
The incident remains under investigation.
